For the past month, Paul "ReDeYe" Chaloner has been in Los Angeles, California covering Region 1 of the Championship Gaming Series, and in this article by Brian "Karpov" Johnson on the CGS website , ReDeYe reflects on his season in the United States, from the Playboy Mansion draft up to the finals of the competition, as well as what he got up to the time inbetween. The CGS: What is your opinion on the league now that Region 1 is complete? ReDeYe: You know, I said just before it all started a few months ago that I was skeptical about how it would all go, but from the combine, the draft at the playboy mansion through to the league matches, playoffs and finals, it was an amazing personal experience that washed away any doubts I had that this could be huge for gaming. The league has completed something unique in the western world with matches being shown on live TV, city based franchise teams with professional paid players. I said in one of the shows, I had to pinch myself to make sure I wasn’t dreaming sometimes and if I am dreaming, then I never want to wake up. The league has been amazing, but the people involved are not getting carried away with the success they have had and are working hard on the things we didn't do too well and other things to make sure the league improves beyond where it is right now.
