Matt was thrown into commentating by accident, as ClanBase chief of cups Dervey asked him to cover some of the Onslaught games for Unreal Tournament 2004. The whole experience started to snowball from there on.

After hearing Ben “RubberChicken” Hulme shoutcasting the 2005 TAM Hosted Cup got inspired to go on with his commentating and gradually got better with the help of the Onslaught community and Zoro from Unreal.ie. The hobby soon became an obsession.

In 2006, he joined TGS, and after some experimenting with different gametypes he fell in love with 1v1 and TDM and that has stuck with him ever since.

Late 2006 he joined up with RubberChicken to learn more about the workings of the game and the fine nuances of commentating for gaming. This was the start of long hours of explaining the game on skype (and other shenanigans).

In March 2007, he followed RubberChicken into QuadV and joined the ranks as the only non-British crew-member.
