Jay leaves QuadV (8 Comments)

It is with regret that we announce officially today that Jay Atkins has left QuadV with immediate effect. Jay has been with us as one of the founding commentators at QuadV when he moved over from the now defunct TSN.

Jay put in a tremendous amount of work over the last 2 and half years and played a huge role in taking our coverage forward both technically and from a commentary point of view. He has been a key part of our online team and attended numerous tournaments with us and will be missed by the whole crew.

He leaves on good terms however with the door always open if he should ever wish to return. Jay will be taking up a new position with our friends at Gamesports which offers him a unique opportunity that was simply too good to turn down. We would never stop any of our staff from trying to better themselves and thus, all be it reluctantly, have allowed Jay to move on to his next challenge.

On behalf of all of the crew here at QuadV, we wish him the very best with his new venture.

I would like to say that my time at QuadV has been both rewarding and positive. The relationships I have made and the events I have covered have made me a better person. However the opportunity I have been offered is something that I would be a fool not to grasp.

To all those who appeciated my work (and even those who did not) I would like to thank you for watching over the last two and half years. I would also like to thank Redeye, Jester, Tosspot, Deman, A_Spec, Corin, Iain, Cabe and all the other great people I have had the opportunity to work with.

QuadV will continue without me, I wish all involved the best and I am sure the coverage will only continue to improve as time passes. As Paul said in the post we have left on good terms. It was a decison that I have not taken lightly having weighed up the pro's and con's I decided that inorder to make this my profession I must switch. Once again I have a huge sense of gratitude to all I have worked with and hopefully one day will work with again.

Too bad :(

My experience is the same as derBUmann, I liked to watch some CS mostly thanks to Jay even though I have only played it once. Good luck with your new stuff :-)
