It is with great delight and excitement that QuadV can announce we have secured the services of one of the world’s most talented and well known shoutcasters, Stuart “TosspoT” Saw.

Stuart joins us from inside The Game (iTG), where he covered many major tournaments throughout the world and brings with him a wealth of knowledge and experience. Not only will Stuart be joining QuadV in a senior commentary position, he will also serve as one of the executives of the company, helping the company to grow as part of the management team and as a shareholder.

“I am particularly thrilled with Stuart joining us at QuadV, which adds even more quality to our already great line up of commentary talent”, commented Head of Commentary at QuadV, Paul “ReDeYe” Chaloner, “Stuart is without doubt one of the finest commentators of eSports in the world right now and I feel his addition leaves us with the best line up of shoutcasters in the UK and possibly Europe.”

“I am personally looking forward to working with him again having had a very successful working relationship and friendship during our time at iTG. Everyone at QuadV is thrilled to have him on board with us and we are looking forward to his unique way of bringing eSports to people with the QuadV brand.”

Stuart said, “I'm very happy to be moving to QuadV and starting a new chapter in my gaming career. Anyone that knows me will know I take shoutcasting and all the other aspects in gaming very seriously. Thus leaving iTG and joining QuadV was not a decision I took lightly, in fact it's been one of the hardest decisions I've ever made. I'll be the first to admit that without iTG and Marcus “djWheat” Graham, I wouldn't be anywhere in this business, I wouldn't have travelled the world and I wouldn't have made so many great friends.”

“In my 3 years with iTG I have learnt so much more than I could have imagined and it has made me thirsty for more. My reasons for leaving iTG are built on that thirst, one which I'm hoping to quench at QuadV. I joined iTG in its infancy and I'm now doing the same in QuadV. I'm looking to take what I learnt and start pushing the boundaries of what eSports coverage can be, because I think that we in gaming are only touching the surface of what can be done. I've seen what QuadV can achieve having worked closely with Paul for 2 years now, and with many of the crew before. There is not only a great deal of talent here but also a really vibrant atmosphere which I can't wait to become a part of.”

About QuadV

QuadV.com was setup in March 2007 by Paul "ReDeYe" Chaloner (formally of iTG) and technical guru Oliver "Jester" Aldridge. QuadV provide high quality and dedicated LIVE audio and video streaming with commentary of online and LAN based tournaments from all over the world.

Whilst other providers of this service are moving away from covering events live (preferring a most cost effective Video on Demand system), QuadV believe that what the viewing and listening public want, is live commentary and coverage of the events as they happen. With the company being built as and growing as a business, we believe we have found the right strategic partners to produce quality live streams for the gaming tournaments we cover.

Tonight (Tuesday 31st May) sees 4 matches from the Clanbase EuroCup live on QuadV! Starting off at 18.30 with Joe on QuadV Radio 1 we have a double header from the Clanbase EuroCup  for Quake4! With d1ablo taking on epiotic in the Lower Bracket Round 1, followed by Bl4jnd vs cYmoZz in the Winner Bracket Round 2. After losing in the first round of the upper bracket against dignitas/HELL, epiotic will have a stiff test against top German player d1ablo who lost out in the first round to CS3. cYmoZz took down Xeon 2-0 to make it through to play Bl4jnd who defeated the ping crippled Spaniard pozi in the first round.

Then at 19.00 on QuadTV 2 you can join Jay as he brings you the showdown between the Dutch powerhouse Fnatic and Team Dignitas in the Upper Bracket Round 2 of the premier online European Counterstrike Source competition, The Clanbase EuroCup! - edit - Unfortunately this match has been postponed.

At 20.00 on QuadV Radio 1 you can get your Enemy Territory fix as Splodge brings you the Winner Bracket Final of the Clanbase EuroCup between Junk52 (formally Polar eSports) who took down Cadre in the semi's, against TheLastResort who proved too strong for Dignitas.

 Lineups:

 Junk 52
The Last Resort  toxic aCoZz XyLoS Clown razz marv sqzz mAus snoop dAv1d perfo Winghaven
The teams gave the following statements:

Junk52|toxic

It will be a very tight game for sure. The earlier group stage means nothing now. We don't want to do the same mistake against them as last season where we won the group match but lost the more important playoff match which knocked us out of EuroCup.

TLR|Clown

Well, we have gone through the playoffs quite easily so far even though we have met some strong opponents... But today I think its really do-or-die time for us. We are really motivated to win vs junk52, but at the same time i think they don't lack motivation aswell seeing how they joined an excellent organization that junk52 is! I hope we can win but it's not gonna be easy for sure!

Don't forget to tune in from 18.30 for all this, only on QuadV!

Our very own Paul "ReDeYe" Chaloner has been interviewed by The Championship Gaming Series

CGS: You have been around the world to many different events, how would you compare those events to what you have seen so far from The CGS?

ReDeYe: My first thoughts are, different. You can’t really compare CGS right now to anything else that has gone before; it has a different format, different rule set and a different approach to the tournaments. I get the impression that CGS wants to do things properly and mainly because they really believe in video gaming and want it to succeed. Care is taken at every turn, whether it be helping people outside of gaming understand more about it, learn the games used and introduce them to some of the amazing talent in gaming or reaching out to the casual gamer. To me at least, having now met those involved in the whole project, it seems that the very best people from video gaming, people who have proved themselves time and time again, are being used and are involved in the CGS.

I would love to answer this question again in a year’s time, because I really believe this next 12 months could be the most exciting in competitive gaming history.

The full interview can be read here.

On Tuesday, 29th May 2007 at 19.00, vinski takes on theLAWenforcer in the Winner Bracket: Round One of the Clanbase EuroCup XV for WarSow!

According to CBooky vinski is the clear favourite, though it seems that he has not adapted to 0.3 as well as theLAWenforcer; even though both players were involved with the beta testing of 0.3, it does not seem to suit vinski's style as well, but his composure and experience seem to make him the favourite to prove that he still has what it takes to be seen as a top dueler after topping his group.

Tonight, starting at 19.30 we see a triple header of games from the Clanbase EuroCup for Quake 4 live on QuadV! As the playoffs begin, we bring you 3 matches from the Upper Bracket Round 1.

In the first match of the evening at 19.30, we see ahzaz take on Lap1n on QuadV Radio 1. Ahzaz seems to be the favourite after topping Group F, whereas Lap1n made the groups hard work for himself, only pulling an agregate of +1 map victories to losses. Both Joe and Hoodini will be on-air calling the shots during this match!

Following this we have a double header of games, as Hoodini moves over to QuadV Radio 2 with Xeon appearing to be the underdog, despite a more convincing performance in the group stages than cYmoZz, his opponent tonight at 21.00.

Joe will continue on QuadV Radio 1 at 21.15, with EuroCup XIII bronze medalist Cs3 the favourite to take the win against d1ablo, after coming through his group undefeated.

On Monday 21 May at 20.00, QuadV brings you live coverage of the Intel Core 2 Extreme Challenge Counter-Strike:Source as the playoffs continue with another double header. This time we see Asperity.gg taking on Reason Gaming at 8pm, followed at 9pm by r3 vs five:flow for a place in the final of this competition and a guarenteed £750. Both semi-finals will take place on de_cpl_mill, and can be seen live on QuadTV2 at 8pm with Jay & Joe.

In the first match at 8pm, asperity.gg are definitely the underdogs, as they go up against Reason Gaming, one of 3 UK teams to be invited to the-eXperience 2007. For Reason, former Zboard & uQ player JaFro replaces url, who is on holiday. This could well prove to be costly, as it is unsure whether Reason will field a full 5-man lineup tonight. Will asperity be able to take advantage? Find out on QuadV.com at 8pm!

The teams gave the following statements:

Asperity\jonte

It's going to be a pretty nerve-racking game, as I'm sure everyone realises Reason are one of (if not the) best teams in the UK and we're definitely the underdogs out of the 4 remaining teams. I'd say we were disappointed to draw them on de_cpl_mill as it is our weakest map by quite a stretch, as shown in the group stage where we lost 22-8 to one.soldier. Regardless, we're happy to make the semi finals and to get the opportunity to play against Reason. I'd also like to thank our sponsors tigit.co.uk & kaweb.co.uk

[R]Ritch

We may be playing with four players tonight, I'm not sure yet. We are unlikely to come out on top if we do so...but we'll see.

Lineups:

 Asperity.gg
   [R]eason
Jonte Ritch Ewaf Hughsy Soniq Jon0o Silly HenryG GooseJaFro

Following this match, at 9pm we see Five:flow take on -r3- in what looks to be a close encounter, and both teams will fancy their chances of taking the victory.

The teams gave the following statements:

Fiveflow:Repsta

r3 are one of the top UK teams and will require quite something to beat. I feel that as long as we play solidly and as a team we do have a very good chance of beating them, though. It's unfortunate that many of us have exams the following day so won't be able to put in as much practice as we would've liked for this match but we'll give it our all on the night and think we've got a chance of coming out on top.

-r3-crazycat

The game vs five:flow tonight should be very fun to play and watch! This late in the competition there are only skillful teams left, so we should see lots of good stuff. As a team we are confident even though we have done very little practice over the past 2 weeks due to different reasons. Mill is our favourite map as a team so it won't effect us too much in this game.

Lineups

 Five:flow
