On Wednesday, 16th May 2007 at 21.00, Reason Gaming takes on Team Ebuyer in the final match of the groupstages of the Clanbase EuroCup XV for CounterStrike: Source!
The match will take place on de_nuke, and the winner will take 3rd place in Group D, taking the final qualifying spot for the knockouts. Reason seem to be the favourites, though Ebuyer will look to cause an upset and prove that they can compete with one of the top UK teams, Reason, coming off the back of a strong performance at LAN79.
The teams gave the following statements:
[R]Ritch
Ebuyer are a recognised team in the UK, not someone you can under-estimate and just think it'll be an easy win. Although we should be able to take the win comfortably in CS:S anything can happen these days, and with two of our team have heavy ping problems at time it could come down to mistakes on a map like de_nuke even as CT a simple slip up could mean a lot of struggles on the Terrorist side.
Ebuyer|Kird
Reason are coming off a good performance at Lan79 and have played well in the Intel Extreme Challenge (a tournament which I fully expect them to sweep now!) so they'll be tough opposition. With the map being nuke, if we go CT first and take a good amount of rounds we'll stand a good chance of winning but they definitely go into the match as favourites over us.

Impact qualified after topping their group without dropping a round, whereas Dignitas have been a shadow of their older presence recently, suffering a 4-2 defeat at the hands of Insignia Cadre. Impact will also fancy their chances after managing to defeat Dignitas at Crossfire Prizefight Challenge 2, and are growing in confidence with every match, leading the majority of the ET Community to beleive that they have what it takes to win here. Our very own A_Spec has been featured in a movie of last weekend's Unreal Tournament 2004; Unreal North 2on2 SteelCup Lower Bracket Final between Saints and Sinners and OctopuS. The movie shows the intense last five minutes of the deciding map (DM-AkBal2k4-SE), with A_Spec's QuadV audio stream placed on top of the demo by Coulomb. The movie lasts for 6m26s at a resolution of 640x720, shot with an x264 codec.

On Sunday, 6.May 2007 at 19.30, Impact.Gaming takes on Vicious & Evil in Group D of the Clanbase EuroCup XV for Enemy Territory!
Impact currently sit top of the group after 4-0 victories over both elite and k1ck, with the latter also suffering a defeat of the same margin to vae, who will meet elite in the final match of the groupstage next Wednesday. Therefore, we can quite confidently assume that should vae manage to take a victory from Impact, who are still on a roll after their 2nd place at Crossfire Prizefight Challenge 2, that they will manage to defeat elite also, and top the group. The match will take place on bremen_b1 and karsiah_te2, which is a new map, and could hold some surprises in store.
The teams gave the following statements:
Xpaz`i
From what I've heard about and seen of vae recently they haven't practised much, and we haven't exactly been practising like normal either. It's a new map karsiah aswell, so tomorrow's game might not be a "huge" show because of this. The game will definitely be very even and It wouldn't surprise me if we see a decider. Hopefully we can perform well on both maps and avoid that though!
vae were unavailable for comment.

On Thursday, 3.May 2007 at 20.30, Equus|Spy takes on dignitas/GaRpY in Group H of the Clanbase EuroCup XV for Quake4! Both players have only currently played 1 match each so far in this competition, with GaRpY defeating Geo (who has now withdrawn from the EuroCup) on Monsoon and Phrantic, however GaRpY's Monsoon performance left something to be desired, only managing to take a 4 frag victory on his chosen mapchoice, though a strong performance on Phrantic made up for this.
However Spy had a heavy loss on his chosen Monsoon to dignitas/Hell, and this must make GaRpY the favourite, with these odds echoed by CBooky, which offers 70/30 in favour of GaRpY. Spy made an improvement last night, losing by 2 frags on the deciding map, Ravage, against mnstr, but mnstr also suffered a 2 map defeat to GaRpY's teammate Hell earlier in the tournament.
