MVS Challenge Cup - Finals
Dignitas vs. TCM
Posted by Jay on 01/06/2009 16:07:04 GMT
Tonight on Quadv sees the conclusion of the Microsoft Visual Studio challenge. For the past month and a half the best UK One Six has to offer have duked it out for bragging rights and a hefty chunk of money for an on-line One Six tournament. Dignitas came into the tournament as heavy favorites and have been on-fire all the way through. Team Coolermaster will be looking to step out of the shadow of the CS:S team and bring their A-Game.
With over £3,000 up for grabs both teams will be chomping at the bit to get off to a good start on Inferno. Arguably the most even of the competitive maps Inferno will then be followed by Nuke and if needed competitive staple Dust2.
Join Jay & Corin on TV4 from 19:45 BST for pre-game.

Someone once said; "In order to become a good writer you must first get rid of all the really crappy stories stuck in your head, and you can only get them out by writing them."
Commentary works in a similar way, before you can even consider yourself even remotely decent at casting anything, you have to study a game and practice doing commentary on it, at least this is what I believe. It takes about 30 odd casts, replays or plays to really get a game into your system. Thus I present to you; 30 days of Warcraft.
Thats right, for all 30 days in June this site is going to have a fresh video of Warcraft III : The Frozen Throne on the VoD player. Now I am going to be totally honest, I have never casted this game before in my life. I have played the campaign, and that's about it.
So yes, I'm going to start totally from scratch, and you're going to be there. Now you can influence my casting. Give comments on the VoDs. Tell me what's wrong and what's right. Help me improve so that you can enjoy better VoDs.
So enjoy June, as A_Spec is going to Azeroth

Introducing the QuadV shorts, aptly named the; "E-Sports Shorts". In this one we take a game that was regarded as one of the biggest in the next generation of E-Sports games but for some reason just never made it to the big league.
What game it is? Well, check the VoD and find out.
MVS Challenge Cup - Playoffs Rd.2
Shinryuken vs. SHUFFLE!
Posted by Jay on 18/05/2009 13:32:49 GMT
Tonight on QuadV will see the second round of the MVS Challenge Cup get underway. Shinryuken take on SHUFFLE in what could well be one of the closer battles of Round.2. When we last saw Shinryuken in action against Ditto it was a valiant effort yet not quite enough, after picking up two defaults in the groups they beat Isomer in the first round of the playoffs. Shuffle meanwhile had a bye in the first round, will this effect their sharpness going into such an important game?
Join Jay on TV4 from 19:45 BST for this best of three clash between perhaps the two darkhorses of the playoffs. With names such as Ganjaman and z1k to call upon can SHUFFLE! find the form that they have had in past or will Shinruken rumble onto the third round of the MVS Challenge Cup, join Jay on TV4 to find out.
There can be only one!
